Greenkiss ecodesign capsules

A capsule that wasn’t there, an authentic combination of design and ecology. Greenkiss is the first eco-design capsule of 100% Made in Italy furniture, born from the desire to experiment and develop new techniques, brave and ecological.

Greenkiss aims to raise awareness in the furniture industry toward a more environmentally conscious and respectful view of the environment by using only reclaimed, salvaged or materials from controlled supply chains.

The result is a design that combines geometric and asymmetrical lines with warm colors and textured surfaces, creating a modern and refined aesthetic that embraces a green philosophy without ever sacrificing elegance.

In the Greenkiss capsule, each piece tells a story of research into eco-friendly materials. From traditional wood staining processes to never-before-seen eco-friendly materials, each piece of furniture takes shape in an innovative way.

Among the most emblematic materials is Reconstituted Natural Charcoal™, a material created exclusively by Paolo Castelli S.p.A., made by recovering residues from blast furnaces and combining them with natural resins and brass shavings.

Another example of a green choice is the Acetic finish, an ancient technique that replaces chemical painting with baking the wood in vinegar, giving the material a sophisticated amber coloring without the use of varnish.

Eco, Design, Green, Kiss – Four pillars that guide the philosophy of the capsule, aiming to combine elegance and sustainability in a single production vision.

While few companies choose eco-friendly solutions for their products, Greenkiss aims to make eco-friendly furniture to contribute to a more conscious world.

With this vision, Paolo Castelli, together with Hubert de Malherbe and Thierry Lemaire – masters in retail and hospitality design – designed Greenkiss. The capsule was presented as a world premiere at the Paris show Maison & Objet in January 2020.
