HOSPITALITY

Jiva Hill Resort 5 luxury

In the prestigious setting of the Jura Mountains, just a stone’s throw from Geneva, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. was responsible for the renovation of the main areas of the prestigious 5-star Jiva Hill resort.

The hotel with views of Mont Blanc has undergone extensive renovations that have restored the place’s luster.
The intervention by Paolo Castelli S.p.A.-over a total area of about 600 square meters-accomplished on a project by the Paris-based CG Design studio, involved the Jiva restaurant hall and the hotel lobby with adjoining bar, including custom-made furniture, flooring, wall coverings, sound-absorbing paneling, doors and window frames.

The work was carried out with the utmost care, selecting excellence in materials and workmanship while respecting the elegance of the location. The planks of the smoked oak parquet and paneling used inside the restaurant were selected one by one, preferring those with the presence of sapwood to meet the aesthetic requirements of the designers: from more than 2000sqm of raw product, the selection was reduced to 400sqm, for a truly unique result.

The project is completed by mirrored ceilings made of marine laminatesand windows and doors made of black sheet metal, suitably burnished on site. The skillful combination of Canaletto walnut and galvanized brass redesigns the space of the entrance hall, again giving the room the charm lost in the previous intervention.

The bar counter, featuring a Sahara noir marble top, was the subject of a refitting of the existing counter, complemented by a pleated sheet metal bent into a template.

Also in the lobby, open bookcases with brass shelves divide the rooms, providing the right amount of space privacy without occluding the view and fragmenting the space.
