Palazzo di Varignana Resort e Spa

Palazzo di Varignana Resort & Spa represents one of the pearls of Bolognese hospitality: nestled in the green hills between Imola and Bologna, it consists of several stately buildings in a contemporary and exclusive mood that leaves ample space for greenery and landscape.

Within the prestigious complex, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. carried out renovations to the bar lounge and new rooms in the area called le Terrazze.

The bar lounge, located in the Reception building, consists of a 300-square-meter area with a terrace overlooking the main pool.
Paolo Castelli S.p.A. intervened in both the indoor area and the terrace area by completing construction works, planting, fit-out custom and serial furnishings.
The hall houses an important black bar counter with a linear trend,which contrasts with the oak finishes of the walls in an interplay of alternating lacquers and essences.
A series of small lounges furnished with Paolo Castelli-branded products welcomes guests: – : the Venice -sofa and armchair-, Elegance sofas, and Parabolica armchairs are declined in light shades and warm tones.

Decorative lighting is also under the Paolo Castelli brand: on the Galaxy wall, the reflections of custom-sized My Lamp chandeliers descend on the counter instead. A golden, custom-cut metal grid helps separate the different conversation areas. The overall design of the bar uses, in addition to oak and black lacquered wood, metal finishes in brass and gold, combined with the Silver Brown stone of the For Hall tables and the onyx floor.
The work was completed by the Bologna-based company in 5 months, with alternating day and night teams, so as not to disturb the quiet and relaxation of guests and to ensure the reception activities of the adjacent reception.

Rooms and Suites le Terrazze

In addition to the renovation of the bar lounge in the common areas, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. also built the rooms and suites of three new buildings within the resort complex, named “Le Terrazze.” 45 rooms, including 40 standard rooms and 5 suites, which differ in floor area and design features. Both types are furnished in a contemporary style, combining the light oak of the parquet flooring and furniture with tones of gray and white for the furnishings. Paolo Castelli here did the fit-out of the custom-made furniture and the supply of the serials, including most of them under his own brand.

From the Paolo Castelli catalog are the Audrey chair, Flora, Flora mini and Elle tables, and Circle wall lamps. Made to measure, on the other hand, are the bed and wall bookcases. Hand-tufted rugs embellish the room.
