La Petite Afrique

In 2011, Fine Properties Monte Carlo held an invitational competition to build a prestigious multifunctional complex on the site of the former Banca Commerciale Italiana.

The project was entrusted to Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, known for his work in luxury architecture.
In the exclusive Carre d’Or, Paolo Castelli S.p.A has built several rooms of the prestigious residential building “La Petite Afrique,” located a short distance from the Casino Gardens, the Hotel de Paris and the Salle Garnier The 15,000-square-meter complex includes 11 above-ground floors with luxury apartments and 6 basement floors with garages, common areas and spas.

Paolo Castelli’s work included the supply of custom doors, paneling, custom and serial furnishings, parquet floors, and suspended ceilings for apartments from floor r+2 to floor r+10, as well as spa, lobby, stairs, and elevators. The apartment on the r+6 floor was completed on a turnkey basis to a design by Broadway Myland.

Custom-made furnishings designed by Paolo Castelli give the apartments a warm and refined elegance, thanks to fine materials such as Calacatta Oro marble or high-polished Ebano Amara. The spaces are created as limited-edition dwellings, with highly customized interior and fit-out solutions, the result of Italian craftsmanship. Inspiration, research, tailoring and timeless design are the pillars behind the new identity signed Paolo Castelli for this exclusive Monaco project.
