Bonfiglioli Riduttori Headquarters

In the manufacturing heart of Emilia Romagna lies the new plant of Bonfiglioli Riduttori S.p.A., the world’s leading manufacturer of mechanical gearboxes and components.

This building represents technological excellence, the result of a significant expansion and rationalization project of the previous factory, overseen by the Open Project studio.

The industrial architecture blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape with its large windows and inner courtyard. Inside, a long covered walkway leads to a glassed-in entrance hall that provides access to operational areas. In this context, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. took care of the supply of custom and mass-produced furniture, creating more than 270 operating workstations distributed on three floors, as well as fully customized cabinets.

Particularly notable is the reception desk located in the lobby, which combines technical materials with refined aesthetics and clean lines, presenting an exterior cladding of Kerlite Calacatta Gold marble effect.

The end result stands out as a virtuous example of a working context: the Open Project Studio’s design enhanced the livability of spaces and high environmental compatibility, placing human and technological evolution at the center.
The interiors and exteriors are interconnected thanks to spectacular glass windows and interior courtyards, which always provide a view of greenery from both the work spaces and the restaurant and cafeteria areas.
