Camplus Bononia

In the northeastern area of Bologna, adjacent to the university area, is the Camplus Bononia residential complex, dedicated to hosting students of the University of Bologna. Part of a network of ten Colleges of Merit located in as many cities, the Bologna site was built by expanding an existing building to provide accommodation and educational activities aimed at the student target.

The project is developed around the integration of private and semi-private spaces, dedicated to rest and socialization, in a state-of-the-art facility in terms of energy conservation and sustainability. Paolo Castelli S.p.A. participated in the project by providing custom and standard furniture for the socialization areas on the ground floor, as well as offices and meeting rooms on the second floor.

Particularly impactful is the restaurant area, with nearly 200 seats, characterized by a colorful and playful yet functional style, and equipped with an outdoor area. The colorful seating recalls the alternating hues of the building’s exterior windows, creating a harmonious dialogue between the interior spaces and the architectural envelope.

Glass and aluminum glass walls dominate in the offices, combined with meeting tables and wood-finish paneling, all featuring a color palette that favors light, natural tones. Among the meeting tables, the one in the Executives area, made of wood and white Corian, stands out.

Niche cabinets complement the walls in study rooms and offices, providing an ideal synergy between the furniture elements and the surrounding space.
