CORPORATE
In the heart of Milan, on Via Meravigli, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. took part in one of the most innovative interventions in recent years in the design of work spaces: the new headquarters of Ernst & Young, designed by DEGW, a brand of Lombardini Group 22, opened its doors inside a totally green organism, expressingan innovative vision of work.
The project involved the redevelopment of an entire city block, combining inhomogeneous volumes built at different times, with a total area of nearly 19,000 square meters.
On the ground floor, Paolo Castelli made the counter for the indoor bar from white Corian, as well as the filing cabinets and counter in the Press Center, and the white laminate filing cabinets inside the Post Office.
The Bologna-based company also oversaw the supply of furniture for the closed areas: conventional Meeting Room, Collaboration Room, Team Room with tables for four, Focus Room with armchairs and sofas, Just in Time, Virtual Room equipped with video conferencing, Project Room, and informally furnished Conference Rooms.
On the third floor, Paolo Castelli made the library furniture, including tables in walnut-hued waxed stone pine.
The challenges of the project were significant: udivided over ten floors, the spaces house offices for 2,500 people, 1,200 desks and more than 170 meeting rooms. Paolo Castelli created the custom furniture, including workstations and reception areas, in just three months.
