Primtemps Haussmann

In 2017, in the heart of Paris, the new Printemps Department Store opened inside the historic building on Boulevard Haussmann. The seven-story facility houses the most prestigious brands in the fashion,beauty, luxury and furniture sectors. Paolo Castelli S.p.A. participated in the project, handling the engineering and implementation of the serial and custom-made furniture in the main areas of the mall.

The project involved renowned architectural firms.The beauty area was designed entirely by the Milan-based studio of Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, while the home sections bear the signature of French interior designer Sarah Levoine.

Citterio’s concept reinterprets the style of the 1910 building in a contemporary way, with materials such as glass metal, typical of early 20th century architecture. The dominant colors-red, white, black,gold and natural woods-lend elegance and character.

Sarah Levoine’s intervention, on the other hand, creates the atmosphere of a typical Parisian apartment on three levels, where the area dedicated to home furnishings and accessories is distinguished by tones of blue, green and brown, in a refined balance of materials and display solutions.
