Samaritaine

This iconic building, rooted in the heart of Paris in a rapidly changing neighborhood, blends the spirit of Art Nouveau with contemporary design. The interiors of the Samaritaine, designed by the Paris studio Malherbe Paris and built by Paolo Castelli S.p.A., embody this union.

Paolo Castelli worked closely with the architects at all stages of the project, taking care of the design, supply, and installation of custom-made furniture, all made by Italian artisans with thoughtful details and a wide range of finishes.

Designer Hubert de Malherbe envisioned the spaces as a Parisian promenade paying homage to the city’s Art Nouveau heritage. Parquet floors, custom mosaics, gilded brass frames, and references to the Eiffel Tower create an atmosphere reminiscent of classic Parisian floral greenhouses. As in mix-and-match fashion, here, too, each element finds harmony in a refined and timeless whole, capable of fascination and surprise.
With this project, Paolo Castelli confirms his special connection with Paris, where he owns a showroom on boulevard Saint-Germain.
