Hotel Cafè Royal, London

Located in Regent Street, in a historic building from the early 1900s, the Café Royal Hotel is one of the most elegant hotels in London, renovated in recent years according to a taste that combines contemporary elements and references to the interiors of the great halls of the late nineteenth century. In 2018, the Hotel’s renovation project was completed with the creation of the prestigious Laurent restaurant, located on the first floor of the Hotel in a completely renovated area, which becomes the main entrance of the building for those coming from Air Street.

The Archistar Piero Lissoni project includes a 110-seater space with small tables in Verde Guatemala marble, chairs and armchairs with a refined design that combine velvet and leather with flamed oak and brass boiserie, in a sophisticated atmosphere dominated by dark tones that enhance elegance. On the back wall of the completely renovated Studio Bar stands out the bar counter, characterized by brass finishes and by narrow and simple lines, and by the back-lit backlit honey onyx counter. The walls are covered with dark-stained wood paneling in flamed oak, and the modular ceiling reflects the whole environment. For this intervention, Paolo Castelli SpA has realized all the building works, the finishes, the fixed and mobile furnishings, and the bar and reception desks.

The new show kitchen is visible from two large windows that separate it from the completely renovated dining room (Ten Room) and from the new Sushi area, which also houses the new Vine displays in brass and glass. On the ground floor the new reception is characterized by the new reception desks completely covered in polished brass and by the large circular table placed in the middle of the room.
