Designed as a stylish and intimate hotel, with its 104 guestrooms including 31 suites and a spa, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Milan is hosted in four elegant 19th century buildings, located in the heart of the Italian fashion district. Designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel In-teriors, the restyling of the building has preserved intact the classic contemporary interior style of the structure, as per the Group’s oriental heritage.
For this prestigious projects Paolo Castelli S.p.A. has provided all fixed and movable furnishings and wall coverings and ceiling of the ground – floor of the structure. The company has been also responsible for coordinating the construction and management of the work, by integrating its work with that of other companies involved in the project.
Among its ancient walls the Mandarin Oriental Hotel hold two elegant external courtyard and ambiences characterized by a succession of colors, furniture and finishings that make every ambience one of a kind.
The heart of the hotel is the Mandarin Bar, which is dominated by a large and iconic counter. The walls are entirely covered with a geometric mosaic pattern white and blacks marble and wood paneling, framing a composition of sofas, armchairs , tables and stools creating a cozy and elegant atmosphere .
Of particular value is the chandelier of the artist Jacopo Foggini and the elliptical shaped counter made of Carrara marble situated at the hall of the ” Seta” Restaurant. All the furniture, realized on specific project, reflect the intimate and refined touch that has always characterized the essence of the Group worldwide.
