Paolo Castelli S.p.A. has been recently called to an umpteenth exciting challenge, the realization of custom made furnishing and fit out for three stations of Mont Blanc new ropeways. The overall project has involved the construction of three ropeways stations, Pontal d’Entrèves, Pavillon and Punta Helbronner located at an altitude of 1300 – 2400 – 3500 meters.
This project can be considered unique and extraordinary for its dimensions, complexity, cutting-edge technology and for the natural environment that hosts it.
PAOLO CASTELLI intervention concerns the realization of hospitality areas like restaurants and bars, but also the realization of operating and functional areas such as kitchens and offices, and were realized custom made and loose furniture for these areas:
Sky Way Cafè, Pontal d’Entrèves: a bar and a large hall where guests can relax waiting for the climb on the roof of Europe. The combination of wood, steel and ceramic tiles creates an evocative mix that recall the earth and nature. This area represents a modern reinterpretation of the use of local and traditional wood paneling.
Restaurant Bellevue, Pavillon Station: elegant restaurant with 2 halls of 100 and 50 seats. The first, Hall du Peuterey, lends it self to meetings, and every type of event. It is a refined space characterized by furniture and finishes in dark shades. The second, Room Dames Anglaises is an exclusive restaurant with a special wall covering that evokes the peaks of the Monte Bianco, characterized by oblique cuts and irregular trapezoidal blocks.
Crystal Room and Helbronner and Bistrot des Glaciers, Punta Helbronner station: The “Crystal Room” hosts the permanent exhibition of crystals of Mont Blanc where the guests can admire the jewels of this mountains. The use of black metal creates a neutral space in which the gems on display stand out in a game of glass, mirrors and directional lights. The Bistrot faces on a unique view in the world with which converses thanks to chromatic units of the space.
This infrastructure adopts contemporary forms characterized by important volumes, large glass surfaces that allow you to admire the majesty of a stunning landscape.
Logistics played a key role in the realization of this project. All supplies and materials were transported at high altitude with the help of special means of transport and helicopters.
