Scope of works: Fit out, finishing, manufacturing and supply of custom-made and serial furniture for the Hall, Restaurant, Breakfast room areas.
In the heart of Turin, a stone’s throw from Piazza San Carlo, stands the historic 5-star Principi di Piemonte hotel, located in an imposing rationalist-style building, architectural gem of the Piedmontese capital.
Designed in 1934 by Vittorio Bonadé Bottino and Giovanni Chevalley, the Principi di Piemonte hotel is the perfect expression of the Italian rationalist style. It grows therefore in a synthetic and geometric dimension, but at the same time rich and worldly, as evidenced by the caliber of the national and international guests who have elected it as the center of Turin hospitality, from the stars of the big screen (Sofia Loren) to the music stars (Madonna, Bono, just to name a few).
Recent works have eliminated all the elements that were not in perfect harmony with the strong identity of one of the icons of Turin, finding and then nullifying every dissonance, from the original 30s architecture to the interior décor in art deco style. Every superfluous element has been eliminated, to offer environments that can be the perfect prelude to the regal and gilded elegance of the always magnificent Salone delle Feste.
In this context, Paolo Castelli S.p.A. he has realized in particular all the furnishings, according to the designer’s specific design: benches, upholstered tables, chairs, as well as custom-made boiserie in lacquered wood and walnut essence, metal structures such as the Buffet element present in the Breakfast Room.
Part of the intervention was also the finishing works, including the wall painting and the Barrisol stretch film ceiling. Finally, the Bologna-based company also took care of decorative lighting in the areas of intervention.
The final result of the work is a setting in a contemporary and elegant style that fits well into the architectural context of the building, guaranteeing maximum reception to the most refined customers.
