Smart Office Ernst&Young, Milano


In the heart of Milan, located in Meravigli Street, Paolo Castelli has engaged in one of the most innovative intervention in terms of working spaces planning of the recent years: the new EY building designed by DEGW, a brand of Lombardini22 Group. In fact, the company has opened the doors of a renovated organism totally green and oriented towards an innovative work approach.

The comprehensive project has seen the redevelopment of an entire block, by unifying together uneven volumes built in different periods, for a total surface of approximately 19.000 mq.

On the main floor of the building, the Bologna based company has realized the counter of an indoor bar, entirely made of white corian, other than cabinets and the counter of the Centro Stampa, together with filling cabinets realized in white laminate located inside the Post office.
Paolo Castelli has also treated the furnishings’ supply for closed areas: conventional Meeting rooms, Collaboration rooms, Team rooms with 4 tables or Focus rooms with armchairs and sofas, Just in time, Virtual rooms equipped with video conference, Project rooms and Conference halls with informal furnishing.

On the third floor, the company’s intervention consists in library furnishings, including cirmolo tables waxed of a walnut color.

Challenges: Divided in 10 stories high, the spaces host offices for 2.500 people, 1.200 desks and more than 170 meeting rooms: Paolo Castelli has realized all the required custom-made furnishings within three months, other than work stations and reception areas.
